Where to find Guinea Pig or Cavy Clubs


The governing body for the Guinea Pig Fancy in the UK is the National Cavy Club. There is a comprehensive list of clubs in the National Cavy Club Yearbook

Clubs are organised by location and breed. Some breeds may have breed clubs in several parts of the country.  It is the cavy clubs that organise most of the shows in the UK.  Local cavy clubs often hold specialist breed shows and these are a good place to make contact with breeders of specialist cavy breeds from further afield.  Cavy clubs are a good place to get to know the various breeds and breeders of cavies

Many cavy clubs do not have web sites and I find that as clubs are run by a team of elected members, it does happen that the sites come and go as the membership changes.

Many of the clubs listed in the right hand side menu have a links page where you can find the email details or phone numbers of people to contact.
